The Strand restaurant has a prime location and provides a fine dining type of experience perfect for when you want to treat yourself, your partner or friends to a special dinner time experience.
The Strand is an attractive looking restaurant and can be booked out for that very special occasion. The views are definitely better from the 2nd level.
The Strand has breathtaking views of Hobsons Bay and Melbourne’s city skyline and is in a prominent location being located right nice to the main roundabout heading towards the restaurant and Gem Pier area.
The Strand has an extensive menu with an array of entrees and starters including shucked oysters, chargrilled octopus, confit duck, pistachio crusted scallops and more. The menu does change with the seasons so expect offerings to vary all the time.
The Strand also has a fine selection of mains including linguine marinara, rack of lamb, a selection of steaks, grilled burramundi, jamon wrapped pork loin. Again, the menu is seasonal so what you may encounter will most probably be a bit different but this provides an idea on the type and selection The Strand is likely to have.
The signature dish of the Strand is the seafood tower. If you want to splash out or are celebrating a very special occasion this may be for you. This includes an array of seafood including blue swimmer crab, chilli garlic Tiger prawns, Morton Bay bugs, marinated octopus and more.

In a nutshell
The Strand is a nice attractive looking restaurant offering a finedining experience. It has a particular emphasis on seafood fitting for the Williamstown location. I would say the Strand offers an outstanding menu to select from. The Strand is a pretty restaurant and the food is generally good but does vary in consistency. For most up to date recommendations I suggest checking as many recent reviews as possible and then deciding if The Strand is for you.

Williamstown Restaurant and Cafe Reviews

Sebastian
Sebastian is a Basque inspired restaurant offering a wide range of pintxos, small and larger plate dishes aiming for a generally higher end customer. It's great that such a unique and different type of restaurant is willing to open up in Williamstown. Maybe I'm not the target audience but it seems a bit too expensive for the quality. Still we recommend trying at least once if you live locally and if you live further afield read plenty of reviews and decide for yourself if you think it's your cup of tea.

Monzarella Italian Restaurant
Monzarella Italian Restaurant is one of longer lasting restaurants in Williamstown. This is a testament to Monzarella Italian Restaurant delivering on their promise of good honest food and a providing a nice dining experience. While Monzarella Italian Restaurant isn't really special in any particular way I think it's value proposition has helped it stand the test of time. Great for locals, regular visitors to Willaimstown and value hunters. If you are looking for a very special experience then Monzarella Italian Restaurant may not be for you but for others it may be a perfect match.
