Best Restaurants & Cafes in Kyneton, Victoria: Where to Eat

Kyneton

Kyneton is one of my favourite weekend travel destinations in the west. The best time to visit Kyneton is the second Saturday of the month co-inciding with both the Kyneton Farmers Market and the Rotary Kyneton Market making a perfect double header. Of course, when travelling into country Victoria it's always a bit of a treat to check out the best local dining establishments. With that said, here are my absolute favourites.

Little Swallow Cafe: The best of the best

If the saying go where the locals go means something then the foodie destination of Kyneton is Little Swallow Cafe. I've been multiple times so that says something. This place is always busy so some patience may be required if you arrive exactly at peak time. Little Swallow Cafe in conveniently located just across from the Kyneton Farmers Market.

It's also in a nice wooden older styled building but it's nicely done up, has large windows letting in lots of natural sunlight and most importantly has great food. If you are looking for a decent cafe then this should be a priority pitstop for you.

Campaspe Mill Distillery: Our 2nd favourite

I rate Campaspe Mill Distillery so highly for the overall experience. The bespoke artisan gin tasting, beautiful historic venue, traditional English and Australiana themed outdoor garden, museum, art space and bistro dining make an overall special package. However, this isn't primarily a dining spot. If food is your no. 1 priority Campaspe Mill Distillery may disappoint so keep that in mind. I say 'overall package' for a reason.
