The Tarneit Twilight Market is held at the Dianella Community Centre and is generally what I would describe as utilitarian rather than particularly inviting. It would be great if there was tree coverage or established parklands and trees but hopefully this will develop over time.
As a local community market the Tarneit Twilight Market is very well attended. It is great to see the community really come out to play, support local businesses and have fun in their local backyard. All credit to the local authorities for really stepping up and helping to support the local Tarneit community by holding this recurring event.
A number of stalls and food trucks are set up in the carpark to the Daniella Community Centre. As is standard in most markets you'll find items for sale such as candles, clothes, plants, giftcards, ear-rings, crafts, soft toys, pet products, cosmetics, homeware and lots more.
There are numerous food trucks and vendors do come and go but you might find anything from the ubiquitous potato twisters, traditional Maori food from New Zealand, wood-fired pizza, Afghani food, Serbian, coffeee carts, ice-creams and more.
Depending on each market you may find live music and I particularly enjoyed the evening when they put on a dog show. They are up for community suggestions as to activities that go well with the market so who knows what they'll come up with next!
