The St Georges Lake Walk real is about as pretty as you can get in regional Victoria on a walk of only 40 minutes. A person cannot really expect any better than this. The walk has a few minor ups and downs but is pretty easy. This is pretty much like doing an urban walk but in the country with vastly superior scenery. You have no excuse not to do this walk if passing through Creswick.

The St Georges Lake Walk has quite a diversity given its short distance. There are panoramic lake views, a bit of wooded scenery, a cliff face and walking bridge over the weir. It's a loop walk so you don't repeat yourself and it is pretty much impossible to get lost. Essentially it's like a family friendly picnic spot with a nice perimeter scenic walk.
