While I wouldn't plan an entire holiday around Budj Bim National Park it is an easy 1/2 day trip from Port Fairy or Warrnambool.  Budj Bim National Park is only 82km (1 h 12m) from Warrnambool.

The longest of the main walks is 6.5km and the remaining three walks range from 1-2 hours return so they are very accessible for families.

There is at least one easily accessible cave for the kids and adults to venture into.  It's great having something interesting and different on the walk.  As everyone these days has a mobile phone you don't need to bring a torch but if you are old school you might like to bring a torch with you anyway.

The cave is a decent size and well worth venturing into.  The walks aren't overly long so you may as well do everything.
