Oxart Pottery in Taradale, Victoria, is a fantastic destination for pottery enthusiasts, those seeking a unique artistic experience and people searching for unique one of a kind poresents or gifts.

Oxart Pottery is led by the talented potter Ian "Ox" McColl and his partner Leanne, this studio offers handcrafted ceramics and engaging pottery classes, making it a cornerstone of the local arts community.

Unique one of a kind products: The studio's commitment to creating functional and beautiful pottery is evident in their diverse range of products. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted and fired to stoneware temperatures, ensuring durability and suitability for everyday use.

Customers can enjoy using these pieces in the oven, microwave, and dishwasher, adding a touch of artistry to daily routines. Because the pottery is NOT mass produced Oxart Pottery is perfect for finding unique once-off designs, shapes and colours that makes gift finding a special experience.

This is what makes Oxart Pottery stand out from the crowd and also why coming here may be worth your while if you are the artistic type or appreciate items that you cannot find anywhere else.

The studio's location in Taradale, situated on the Old Calder Highway, adds to its charm. Housed in a character-filled former 70's Roadhouse, Oxart Pottery serves as a multi-use pottery hub, attracting visitors from nearby areas such as Kyneton and Malmsbury. This strategic location makes it a convenient and appealing destination for both locals and tourists.

As an experience picking the fresh fruit is quite a lovely activity and all the people are just so excited.

Value is in the eye of the beholder so while we thought some things seemed over priced we also found that some items seemed amazingly good value. Anyway, we tend not to be impulsive shoppers but happily bought a yarnball for my mother so we definitely found some value!

Eclectic Look: Oxart also has it's own quirky and distinctive look from the roadside that is tempting as you drive into Taradale. It definitely caught our attention whereas some non-descript look would have meant we would have probably just passed Oxart Pottery by.

In A Nutshell
Oxart Pottery comes as highly recommended. Oxart Pottery is the premiere or should we say only shop in Taradale. You cannot miss it when you drive into Taradale and if you are the curious type you may be rewarded.
We have no real interest in pottery or ceramics but were still enticed to visit Oxart Pottery. Oxart Pottery happens to be a great place to look for unique and one of a kind gifts while also supporting a local small enterprise.
We happily came away with a yarnball to gift away to my mother so it was all worth while making the special effort to visit and NOT drive on by.
