St Anne's Farmers Market

St Anne's Farmers Market

The St Anne's Farmers Market is held at the lovely grounds of the St Anne's Winery. This is a beautiful market and assuming the weather delivers has one of the best atmospheres of any market in Victoria. You really do feel like you are being transported to Europe.

The St Annes Farmers Market maybe held in country Victoria but don't make that let you think it will be a quiet affair with only a few punters. The locals and near locals really support this market and it was pumping when we went. No doubt assisted by the great weather but this is no hidden market. That's a great thing as it all adds to the fantastic atmosphere even if it does mean you might have to queue at your favourite stall.

St Anne's Farmers Market has a great selection of local produce and artisan vendors. Of course vendors do come and go but you can expect anything from cured meats, a Swedish baker, berry alcoholic beverages and spirits, preserves, garlic, flowers, vinegar and more.

St Anne's Farmers Market also has a lovely embankment to enjoy the live musical entertainment and any of the great food you've bought. A great thing is you can choose to go all in any buy lots of goodies to eat and drink (think a nice local wine) from the local stalls or you can bring your own picnic and save a few dollers. It's all up to you.

It is so nice just chilling out on the embankment, taking in the vibe, enjoying the live music and just seeing all the people enjoying themselves. It is a great family setting and the punters really do range from young families with children, older folk and everything in between.

It would seem amiss not to try a wine or two since you happen to be at St Anne's Winery. The winery shop is all setup rather nicely for you to try out the wines. Plenty of staff are on hand although as it happens to be a market day the winery does get rather busy. The shop is nicely laid out with plenty of stock on display as well as plenty of wines to taste.

St Anne's Winery is very nicely setup so you can tour yourself and walk around the cellar area. For first time visitors this is great as you can walk around at your own pace and it isn't overcrowded as I guess many of the people have visited multiple times already.
