There are some great events including Lunar New Year celebarations in Williams Landing and Braybrook, Outdoor movie nights in Seabrook and Truganina, Live music in Seabrook and Point Cook, Horse Festival in Werribee, Tarneit Twilight Market, sculpture exhibition at Hanging Rock Winery, Wine Festival in Macedon Ranges and lots more. It's fairly quiet for unique events this weekend in West Melbourne and Beyond. Still it's best to get out and brave the elements to maintain your sanity during these cold winter months. If you love board games get out tonight! As the first weekend of the month there are plenty of markets on.

Car Torque (Altona)

If you love classic cars and a local community feel then this monthly event might be right for you.


CAR TORQUE is a regular get together on the FIRST SUNDAY of every Month at the Hobsons Bay Men's Shed, 280 Queen St Altona, gates open 8.30am close 3pm.

Visitors are welcome, especially owners of classic vehicles or motorbikes to display and join in with Car Torque members and have a yarn.


BBQ and egg and bacon rolls, tea, coffee, water and soft drinks available.


Bring the family and the dog, enjoy the day, see some great vehicles. Shed tours are available - just ask politely!

Altona Homestead

The Altona Homestead provides visitors of all ages the opportunity to take a step back in time. The Altona Homestead is located at at 128 Queen Street, Altona, overlooking Logan Reserve and very close to the Altona foreshore and pier. The homestead is a unique and treasured part of Altona’s heritage.
