Food: Hanging Rock Winery doesn't have a restaurant but do offer cheese boards daily at the cellar door. The cheeseboards showcase an assortment of local artisan cheeses paired with a variety of seasonal sides. Choose from a platter designed for 2 or for 4. If you have a larger party please discuss with their staff and they will advise on what is best for you.

Picnic tables are provided for your enjoyment, where you can relish in the views of Hanging Rock and Mount Macedon alongside your cheese platter and a glass of wine. Alternatively, you're welcome to bring a picnic blanket and relax on their expansive lawn. During the cooler months, Hanging Rock Winery ensure their enclosed marquee area is comfortably warmed with heaters.

It seems the locals are in the know so bring your own picnic hamper if that is your kind of thing as well although do try and support their business as well.

Wine-tasting: Stopping by the Hanging Rock Winery Cellar Door provides a genuine wine-tasting journey. The welcoming, enthusiastic, and expert staff possess comprehensive knowledge about the diverse selection available. Hanging Rock Winery covers all varieties and price ranges, from the more budget friendly wines to the premium Macedon NV Brut Cuvee and Heathcote Shiraz.

In general terms the Macedon Ranges is known as a cold climate wine region so typical best quality wines for the region are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and sparkling wine although obviously there is more than that. Heading further north to Heathcote you can expect more quality Shiraz if that is your kind of thing.

Sculptures: Depending on the time of year you visit Hanging Rock Winery you may be able to enjoy a sculpture art exhibition all for FREE!

Collaborating with local and national artists Hanging Rock Winery often display sculptures that will astonish, captivate, exhilarate, and fascinate. The annual event is an exceptional sculpture exhibition and has quickly become recognized as a central hub for sculpture in the Macedon Ranges and among the largest sculpture exhibitions in the state.

Hanging Rock Winery is a lovely down to earth winery with the majestic Hanging Rock and Macedon Ranges in the background. Although very close to Mount Macedon and hosting the annual sculpture exhibition Hanging Rock Winery maintains it's country charm as well as a great selection of wines as well as award winners.

Highly recommended if you like semi-rustic or down to earth for a charming experience.
