Harcourt is the home of apples in Victoria and do you know what apples mean? Yes, apple juice and more importantly apple cider.
Harcourt is only 8.5km from Castlemaine or an eight minute drive away so that means you can visit a local cidery or winery while you are in Castlemaine.
As you head from Castlemaine towards Harcourt you will first come across Harcourt Apples or The Little Red Shop. The Little Red Shop has a nice range of cider, apple juice, apples, deli home staples and lots of fresh local fruit and vegetables. If you don't want to head all the way to Harcourt this is the perfect spot to pick up some apple cider.
Unfortunately you cannot taste the cider here but this is still a great little store. More info here.
