Colac Sculpture Park: In the heart of Colac, Victoria, the Colac Sculpture Park is a delightful surprise for art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. This unique park offers a serene escape where creativity and natural beauty converge, making it a must-visit destination for anyone in the region.

The Sculpture Park is set against the backdrop of lush greenery and well-maintained gardens along one side of the Barongarook Creek, providing a tranquil environment that enhances the experience of viewing the artworks.
The layout of the park is thoughtfully designed, with sculptures strategically placed to complement the natural surroundings. As you stroll through the park, you'll find yourself immersed in a harmonious blend of art and nature.

From our point of view most of the sculptures seem somewhat utilitarian and quite bare. You can imagine cold war times, North Korean or even Soviet austerity.

Beauty of course is in the eye of the beholder but the artworks do not scream contempory, amazing, beautiful or must see. However, for a once of visitor the sculpture park may be worth your while and if the start at the Barongarook Creek Path makes a great beginning point for a walk along the creek to Lake Colac.

Walking through the Sculpture Park is a relaxing and inspiring experience. The pathway is well-maintained and suitable for all ages, making it an excellent destination for families, couples, and solo adventurers alike.

The peaceful ambiance is enhanced by the gentle sounds of nature along the Bangarook Creek as you head to Lake Colac, creating a perfect setting for reflection and enjoyment.

BBQ area: The park is well-equipped with amenities, including ample seating areas where you can take a break and soak in the surroundings. There are also picnic spots, making it an ideal location for a leisurely afternoon outing. Accessibility is well-considered, with paths suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

Map: Using the map below the beginning of the walk to the sculpture park is opposite the Information Centre at the right bottom of the image. Proceed walking on the right bank of Barongarook Creek to enjoy the sculptures.
