Mt. Macedon Nursery is very picturesque and centrally located on Mt Macedon Rd just across from the Mt Macedon Hotel. Definitely worth a casual wander.
Rustic and a bit dishevelled in appearance the chaoticness of Mt. Macedon Nursery is what gives it its charm. This isn't your run of the mill Bunnings and this is why you venture out into the country. You want something a bit different.
In its own way it's hard to to believe Mt. Macedon Nursery is a serious business but it has definitely stood the test of time so maybe I know nothing.
I always take the time to visit Mt. Macedon Nursery because I just like its atmosphere. In this day and age it's nice to visit a place that is a bit offbeat and eclectic.
I guess there is some order to the apparent chaos in the nursery area. I do love its country charm and that things are just kind of everywhere. I'm not enough of a plant officialnaldo to know if there is any order to the layout.

Mt. Macedon Nursery is definitely worth a little visit if you are a plant lover or just want to visit something a bit eclectic. Handily placed across the road from the Mt. Macedon Hotel and the Mt. Macedon Gallery it's definitely worth a few minutes of your time.

Visit a garden while in Macedon. These two options are open all year round (Bringalbit weekends only) so you don't have to worry about them being closed:

- Bringalbit (weekends only or by appointment at other times)
If you time it right you may be able to visit Duneira Estate that has very specific opening times.

Visit a winery while in Macedon. There are plenty to choose from depending on how far you are willing to drive:
- Mount Towrong Vineyard
- Mt Macedon Winery
- Hanging Rock Winery (15 minutes drive from Mt Macedon)
- Hesket Estate Winery
- Mount Monument Winery (15 minutes drive from Mt Macedon)
