Copper Pot restaurant has a prime location on one of the main dining and eating streets in Seddon. Copper Pot restaurant aims for a fine dining like experience that sets it apart from the usual suburban restaurant.
Copper Pot offers a series of specialty nights so if you are a local you can plan a night out for truffle Tuesday, pasta night and steak night. Copper Pot does change up its menu so it's worth checking out there menu on their website if you haven't been there for a while.
The regular Copper Pot menu is quite ecletic reflecting their own sense of style and standing out from the crowd. Although the menu changes regularly there may be anything from freshly shucked oysters, Octopus ‘a la plancha’, Porto style quail, sweet corn, peri peri sauce and Steak tartare, confit duck, pistachio crusted scallops and more for starters.
Copper Pot also has a fine selection of mains including ink linguini, prawn, surf clams, flathead, seaweed butter; roasted flathead tail, cauliflower, samphire and hazelnut salsa; house made Spätzle, Summer vegetables, riesling cream, gruyère; pork scotch steak, sautéed greens, Italian XO sauce; Gippsland lamb breast, eggplant, spiced yoghurt, fermented chilli . Again, the menu is seasonal so what you may encounter will most probably be a bit different but this provides an idea on the type and selection Copper Pot is likely to have.
Copper Pot makes an effort to make everything look immaculate on the plate. It does feel special when the food arrives. It does look amazing although don't expect supersized dishes.
The special experience at Copper Pot is the European Road Trip. This is subject to change as a former special dish was the seafood tower. It's nice that Copper Pot changes things up so if something does take your fancy don't wait around as it may be gone by the next time you visit Copper Pot.
In a nutshell
Copper Pot is a nice attractive looking restaurant offering a pseudo finedining experience. It is very popular and as such there is a definite positive vibe when you dine at Copper Pot. The food looks amazing and tastes equally excellent. Just keep in mind that if you like supersized dishes the Copper Pot may not be for you or conversely make an extensive selection from the menu. Recommended.
