Moon Dog Wild West is a crazy wild experience of a bar and pub that immediately brings to mind the word - fun!

It's a unique and tough challenge to create a themed venue that doesn't feel tacky. Thankfully Moon Dog Wild West passes with flying colours.
Spread over multiple levels (ground, upstairs and rooftop garden bar), large cacti scattered throughout the venue, a giant open warehouse barn feel, wooden accents creating a ranch like atmosphere, and Vegas neon lights, Moon Dog Wild West makes an immediate impression.

The mechanical bull arena certainly grabs your attention. It's prominant position makes it a great centre piece and is perfect for the wild at heart. Keep in mind that the mechanical bull is for 18+ only.

Moon Dog Wild West really is a statement venue and well worth the visit given it's slightly awkward location.

Moon Dog Wild West goes all in on the Mexican wild west vegas feel with the ground floor having a booths lots of tables, playground area, mechanical bull arena, arcade games and the bar.
The giant cacti just reek fun! It's nice having a venue that appeals to the kid in you! Yes, it's still in you somewhere if you let it out.

Moon Dog Wild West has lots going on through the week with trivia night, live music and regular happy hours. Great for a weekday night and the weekend too!

The menu ranges from typical Australian pub food susch as burgers, chicken parma, pork ribs, porterhouse steak, salads, desserts and a special kids menu.

Going with the wild west theme you'll also get food ranging from mushroom fajita, elote, baked yukon potato, ensalda de cactus y avocado, sante fe salad, blackened cajun salmon, loaded chilli dogs and more.

For beer lovers don’t forget it’s a BREWERY! Moon Dog was founded in 2010 in Melbourne by brothers Josh and Jake Uljans and school mate Karl van Buuren.
Now you get to enjoy the work of their hard labour so try out a Moondog brew or the cocktails, boozy slushies, cocktail jugs, shots, wine and more.

We just love the feel and atmosphere of Moon Dog Wild West.

If you are looking for something that bit different, a classic relaxed pub feel, a bit of fun, something unpretencious and something just kinda cool then Moon Dog Wild West could be perfect for you.

Location
Moon Dog Wild West: is located at 54 Hopkins St, Footscray VIC 3011.

Moon Dog Wild West
Moon Dog Brewery meets the wild west. Giant cacti, ride the bull arena, Mexican and western pub food, three level venue. Eccentric, loud, vibrant and making a statement in the West. Highly recommended if you love your pubs.

It goes without saying that we highly recommend Huu Huu Thanh. A full and complete Vietnamese menu, a down to earth yet still decorative restaurant environment, fantastic flavoured food and a pumping vibrant atmosphere. Hawker styled food done fantastically.

First Taste
First Taste restaurant is an adequate Cantonese styled restaurant. It's former claim to fame was it's specialty Cantonese soups that maintained an authentic flavour that tasted great. I am hoping they can return to their former glory days again.

T. Cavallaro & Sons Pasticceria
T Cavallaro and Sons Pasticceria offers a view to a long gone Italian heritage in the heart of Footscray. Definitely worth a visit to consider buying some Italian coffee equipment or trying the ricotta cannoli from a recipe over 150 years old!

Sapa Hills has stood the test of time. Still a trendy looking restaurant in Footscray it continues to deliver.

Hong Kong BBQ
The Hong Kong BBQ restaurant has gone from all time favourite to okay. Hong Kong BBQ has drastically reduced its menu to only BBQ'd Chinese food now. So yes you can continue to enjoy your favourite roast duck or roast pork but sadly the reduced menu is a bit of a let down. Still, if you love your roast duck it is perfect as a takeaway treat or you can still eat it there.
