Anh Tuk restaurant is a Vietnamese styled restaurant with a difference. If you feel like having Vietnamese but want to have a slightly different dining experience then Anh Tuk could be the place for you.
I have visited Vietnam and the Hanoi classic Chả cá Lã Vọng isn't commonly available at most Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne. Yes, you can get it but not very often. I am glad to say the Chả cá Lã Vọng at Anh Tuk is great and personally better than the two times I had this dish in Hanoi. Definitely recommend having this dish at Anh Tuk.
The decor at Anh Tuk isn't going to be everyones cup of tea. It's quite nice and semi distinctive but perhaps won't appeal to everyone. I personally quite like it but keep in mind it's kind of cafe styled in its feel.
The serving sizes at Anh Tuk are pretty generous so be careful not to order too much. You definitely won't be leaving starving when you leave Anh Tuk. Of course the most important things is that the food tastes great and on that front the food tastes great as well.
Ank Tuk has many dishes that cover the entire plate and are very generous in size. I don't really have the proper words to describe the dishes but they are generally different from what you get at most other Vietnamese restaurants and look very impressive.
Anh Tuk manages to be different enough from other Vietnamese restaurants to stand out from the crowd. As long as you don't mind the surroundings you should come away very satisfied.

In a nutshell
Anh Tuk is now one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in Footscray. From generous portions to great tasting food to having a distinctive menu Anh Tuk comes as highly recommended. I'll definitely be coming back again!

Moon Dog Wild West
Moon Dog Brewery meets the wild west. Giant cacti, ride the bull arena, Mexican and western pub food, three level venue. Eccentric, loud, vibrant and making a statement in the West. Highly recommended if you love your pubs.

First Taste
First Taste restaurant is an adequate Cantonese styled restaurant. It's former claim to fame was it's specialty Cantonese soups that maintained an authentic flavour that tasted great. I am hoping they can return to their former glory days again.

T. Cavallaro & Sons Pasticceria
T Cavallaro and Sons Pasticceria offers a view to a long gone Italian heritage in the heart of Footscray. Definitely worth a visit to consider buying some Italian coffee equipment or trying the ricotta cannoli from a recipe over 150 years old!

Hong Kong BBQ
The Hong Kong BBQ restaurant has gone from all time favourite to okay. Hong Kong BBQ has drastically reduced its menu to only BBQ'd Chinese food now. So yes you can continue to enjoy your favourite roast duck or roast pork but sadly the reduced menu is a bit of a let down. Still, if you love your roast duck it is perfect as a takeaway treat or you can still eat it there.
