Old Man Pho, in the vibrant Highpoint Shopping Centre, is a standout destination for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese flavors in a casual and welcoming setting.
Beggars can't be choosers in a shopping mall so if you can find a restaurant or takeaway that stands out from the crowd you've got to be happy.
The modern yet retro decor of Old Man Pho in Highpoint certainly sets the bar. As far as a mall restaurant goes this is one pretty establishment.
This Old Man Pho also sets the bar against its own contemporaries. We've seen a few Old Man Pho restaurants around Melbourne and this is definitely one of the best looking.
Of course looks are one thing and ultimately meanigless if the food doesn't deliver. Given we've been here multiple times I think we can say the food is definitely in the higher echelion.
Old Man Pho caters for pretty much all tastes. From the classic banh mi rolls, rice paper rolls, vermicelli bowl, egg noodle bowls, rice dishes and more.
Choose from starters such as fried chicken wings, dumplings, beef lemongrass salad and pulled chicken salad.
They also have combo deals if you are looking for better value for money or want to have a drink with your meal.
Old Man Pho also have hot pot if that is your kind of thing and as per most of our photo's is basically what we order.
You can be the judge from our photo's but as far as a mall restaurant goes I think the quality is very high.
We love Pho but we have't tried it here. Based on our hotpot I am guessing it's probably not outstanding. It may just lack a bit of flavour but if we order it I'll update this review.
Although we don't like to measure the quality of a place based on price we are happy to say that Old Man Pho has very fair pricing. Everything is relative though so your mileage may vary.

Old Man Pho in Highpoint is one of our favorite restaurants in the mall. We've been here multiple times and I am certain we'll keep coming back.
It goes without saying that we highly recommend Old Man Pho.
It's nice to have a place to dine at in a mall that actually feels kinda special rather than just filling a gap!
