Heathcote is famous for full bodied Shiraz, but the region produces much more than one variety. At Heathcote Wine Hub you can compare wines from multiple local producers in one place, including labels from smaller wineries that may be difficult to visit during a single weekend.
Heathcote Wine Hub proclaims itself as carrying more than 200 Heathcote wines, with a changing selection available to taste. I am not going to individually start counting wines but I can say categorically that the selection is impressive.

The biggest appeal is convenience. Instead of choosing one winery and hoping its style matches your tastes, you can start in the centre of Heathcote and sample across the region. That makes the Wine Hub especially useful for first-time visitors who want to understand what Heathcote wine is all about before deciding which vineyards to visit next.
Shiraz is naturally the headline act, but the wider selection gives you the chance to branch out into other reds, whites and fortified wines.
A Wine Hub That Champions Local Producers
The Wine Hub focuses on locally grown and locally made Heathcote wines and also showcases other regional products. That is important because not every small producer has a cellar door that is open every weekend. History of the Heathcote Wine Hub Building
The historic building now home to Heathcote Wine Hub at 146 High Street has roots stretching back to Heathcote's gold rush era. The timber building dates from the 1850s and was originally associated with St Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Today, the beautifully restored historic timber church provides a character-filled home for Heathcote Wine Hub, where its heritage is paired with one of the region's best-known products: wine.
Rather than being preserved simply as a reminder of the past, the old church continues to bring people together, only these days it is Heathcote Shiraz and regional wine helping to fill the room.
With it's lovely high ceiling wooden structure, beautiful natural light and cosy fire place the venue is a true gem melding the old with the new. It's almost so beautiful it's worth visiting here in its own right. I should add that the venue is also home to roatating art exhibitions if you have an interest in the arts.

Pair it with a walk at Pink Cliffs, the seasonal iconic and vibrant Cornella Canola Walk, a vanilla slice or pie at Gaffney's Bakery, another High Street cellar door or lunch in town and you have a very easy Central Victoria day trip.
