Wyndham Multicultural Lunar New Year Festival 2025

The Wyndham Multicultural Lunar New Year Festival is held on Sunday 9 February 2025 11AM-9PM in Point Cook and is definitely one of the best community events or festivals that is run each year. Running from 11AM through to 9PM at night it will provide all day entertainment for lots of happy locals.

It is anticipated that lots and lots of people will be out and about celebrating the event, enjoying the entertainment with approximately 25,000 people predicted. It's great that the festival roughly coincides with the Lunar New Year timeframe as this isn't always the case for the Wyndham festival.

For the people and kids not so into the cultural entertainment there is plenty of activities to keep them entertained with festival and theme park rides also on-site.

There will be a great variety of food to choose from and of course this is one of the main reasons to go along to the Wyndham Multicultural Festival. Okay some of the food is of the fast food or junk food variety but it's all part of the festival experience.

Of course some people always enjoy wandering past the shops. I can't say I am a big shopper but rest assured that in addition to the live music and cultural performances you will be able to do some limited shopping if that is your kind of thing.

What really sets the Wyndham Multicultural Festival apart from most other festivals is it's organisation and entertainment. You can expect no let up in the entertainment. Expect a variety of acts covering different age groups and cultures. Performances are typically short and sharp and likely will quickly move from one artist to the next. All of this means there is likely little time to get bored.

You can expect approximately 80 individual performances from a wide range of cultural groups from Wyndham. Singing, a fashion parade, martial arts, dancing, theatre and a traditional costume parade. There is also specific entertainment for the kids childrens including mini golf, slides, a tea cups roundabout and more.

I noticed the children really enjoyed the live dance performers by other children while the older adults enjoyed the singing from the older performers. There was something for everyone and that is what made this festival special.

Unlike most festivals the Wyndham Multicultural Festival has quite a lot of music and cultural performances that older generatipons can enjoy. This will be a plus for some and a negative for others but is still great. We have been multiple times and this multi-generational aspect really stands out.
