The decor of Coracle really stands out in its minimalist design. The photo's don't do Coracle justice but if you are a fan of Japanese design, minimal color schemes and nice chairs you will enjoy Coracle. Yes, the chairs do stand out!
The attention to detail at Coracle really makes an impression. Even the presentation of your humble coffee is exemplary. I really enjoy making every day things seem special and Coracle shines in this aspect. We have so much in modern western culture we can forget what is right in front of us.
This attention to detail at Coracle comes to the fore when they even provide a stool to put your bags on!
Although Coracle appears Japanese from the outside what Coracle really does is hand curate a selection of dishes from across all of Asia. You get to choose dishes from Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and more. If you've never tried, I recommend the Hong Kong (Canton's Morning Ritual). This is kind of like having a western style big breakfast but its from Hong Kong!
Coracle is very popular so if you just pop up at a peak time expect to wait to be seated at a table. Good things come to those who wait and in Coracle's case this is true. People seem happy enough to wait and I have been past multiple times with queues waiting outside. Coracle does seem to be a bit hipster but I definitely don't have problems with that. It's just a great cafe.
