EziStreat North Melbourne Review

EziStreat is kind of a trendy hipsterish street food hall housing stalls with street food from around the world lots of Asian food as well as a burger joint and Italian on offer. As for the Asian food, Ezistreat has a Japanese themed cafe, Korean, Thai, Taiwanese and two Japanese establishments.

EziStreat North Melbourne

EziStreat has a nice modern vibe with cosyish decor, an outdoor beerhall and viewing screen for your favourite footy matches. They also manage to pack in some old-school video games and a modern version of Pong. This is great as the kids are automatically attracted to the video games and the retro theme is nice as well.

EziStreat North Melbourne

EziStreat has plenty of space outside in the beer hall area but I think you could be struggling to find a place to sit and eat on a busy day. There was plenty of space available the day we visited but I can imagine that the table seating is perhaps to little for the number of food vendors on offer.

EziStreat North Melbourne

I really enjoyed the hipsterish style of EziStreat. Its still modern Melbourne though so an authentic street food vibe is never really going to happen. Too many rules and regulations in modern Western society for that I'm afraid. EziStreat though still manages to have a cool factor and when you first enter you automatically think this is kinda cool.

EziStreat North Melbourne

We visited EziStreat on a Saturday and it wasn't really what I call buzzing. Two factors could be at play, the food vendors aren't currently all open and maybe the location is working against EziStreet. EziStreat is stuck between Kensington and North Melbourne but doesn't really belong to either although its closer to Kensington. It's not an obvious location to have a coolish food hall but who are we to say. Best of luck on EziStreat's endeavours though as I definitely like the place.

EziStreat North Melbourne

I can't really evaluate the quality of the food vendors as their are too many to visit on one trip. I can say that I enjoyed the Taiwanese place (better than anticipated) and the upmarket Shimbashi Soba was only okay (worse than I was hoping).

EziStreat North Melbourne

I know QR codes and online ordering is now the way of the present. However a big downside is no rappore with the eatery owner, staff or chef. You just order from your phone and go pick up your food. No interaction with the vendor at all really. For a street food place I don't enjoy this disconnect.

EziStreat North Melbourne

Location

EziStreat is located at 275 Macaulay Rd, North Melbourne.

Review

Rating: 4

In a nutshell: Cool vibes

Summary: EziStreat is a cool and hipsterish street food venue with room to grow and improve.
